Fishing with Bob and Bruce Day 2 of 4...9/29/26
by Capt Juls on 10/05/26
Got a late start due to waiting on the minnow delivery at Hi-Way bait this morning, but it wasn’t too bad…launched out of Mazurik’s at 7:45.
Headed north…and to make a long story short, we hit eight spots on the north side, east side, and south side of Kelly’s… and only had four keepers in the cooler by noon. The 4 came from the first spot, but it was slow, so we went looking. We found a lot of junk fish, but the yellows were elusive.
Made a run over to the area between Green Island and Catawba over 32 feet of water… and in an hour and a half we put 47 more keepers in the cooler. The throwback ratio was probably 3 to 1. Weight at PC fish Co. was 11.4 pounds.
Bob and Bruce were happy that we finally found some and had a great time. I think that’s where we’re going to start tomorrow.
I’m short on time this afternoon, so once again, no long report. Sorry!
Stay tuned…
