Uffda! Stupid weather....lots of rescheduling happening...4/3/25
by Capt Juls on 04/03/25Well, just like last April...the weather is keeping me from working. I had to reschedule today's through Saturday's trip with my MN client, due to the wind and rain forecast for the weekend. They decided to try in the fall, so have moved their dates to October.
Sunday's trip, with a repeat customer, is moving to April 27th.
Then, yesterday, my farmers from Iowa, who had to reschedule from last year, called me, and we discussed the forecast for Tuesday through Thursday next week, and after he told me that he was looking at a charter for the Detroit River, I gave him my blessings to go on that trip, where they can fish in the forecasted winds.
The lake muddied up from the previous NE winds two days before the storm last night....and, the rivers will be dumping mud and debris after this torrential rain. Being farmers, they only have a window to go fishing, and I didn't want them to not come and experience the spring walleye fishing we offer.
He said, "Thanks for working with us", and would be booking me this summer, when the farm work slows down a bit, so sometimes good deeds are rewarded. :)
So, with that said....needless to say....I'm off for a while yet, unless I get out fun fishing, or my two regulars who are chomping at the bit to get out....get out. I'm looking at next Thursday for them, but we'll see how the forecast works out next week.
Mother Nature needs to settle her ass down....soon! Last April was my worst one to date, and this one is starting out just like it. grrrrr.....
